A very important, but little mentioned, aspect of brewing coffee is - (drum roll, please) - the amount of coffee you need to use to make a great cup of coffee.  This may seem blindingly obvious - however what always strikes us is the lack of consistency used by people when they are brewing their own coffee.  Many people just chuck in a couple of spoonfuls - and then wonder why their coffee is sometimes weak and sometimes strong.  The difference between 15g and 19g is huge when it comes to coffee.  That difference of 4g is 20% .. and no wonder there is inconsistency in taste. 

We're not advocating that EVERYONE should be weighing each and every time - however, if you are serious about your coffee and you want to make the most of your carefully sourced, roasted, ground, speciality, artisanal coffee beans then you should at least be consistent with the amount of coffee you are putting in each cup.
